Initial Consultation and Preliminary Advice

We offer a 1-hour initial consultation and preliminary written advice for a fixed fee of $220, including GST. Our advice can include:

  • your obligations as an employer when hiring or dismissing staff, paying employee entitlements, or making changes in the workplace

  • your options as an employee if you have been unfairly dismissed, denied an entitlement under an employment contract, award, or enterprise agreement, or involved in a workplace dispute

  • if applicable, the issues that might arise in pursuing or defending a claim

  • how we can help if you decide to go further and, if so, the estimated cost.

Please note there are strict deadlines for some claims, such as the 21-day deadline for making an unfair dismissal application to the Fair Work Commission, and we cannot take responsibility for deadlines unless you have formally engaged us to represent you.
